I just went to get my son’s Epi-pen prescription refilled and was told they’re out of stock due to a “national shortage.” ...is this actually a thing???

What is the generic called? I asked my pharmacist and the name she gave me isn’t covered by any insurance companies here and costs $5800.

And yet the brand and generic might well be made by different branches of the same company. It’s this kind of greed from which we can attack for funding for universal healthcare. It’s just the wealthy think these types of situations will not affect them. They are wrong.

Buspar was suddenly just unavailable. It is a common psyhiatric drug for anxiety and depression and you have to chase pharmacies to find one that stockpiled ahead of time and still has some. I went to three states to find my last prescription. Why? Corporate greed.
