We will always welcome progress and commitments to increase funding and expand support - but we will continue to press for a mental health care system that provides for all children who need help, not just some.

We now have technology that enables us to see who is at risk of being tipped into crisis. My challenge to ministers for the new year is to use this technology to predict which children need help & to respond. In 2019, I am going to show them how.

There is still a vast gap between what is provided for children suffering from mental health problems and what is needed to treat them. The current rate of progress is still not good enough for the majority of children who require help.
