The Belarusians face beating and jail for their bravery. The senior Republicans would face....nothing, or maybe some mean tweets, if they admitted Trump lost. But they don't have the same kind of civic courage.

The evidence is the continuing silence of most of the GOP while Trump tries his best to demolish THE core democratic institution. If he succeeds (which is at this point not very likely), democracy would be finished.

Demonstrating in t/USA is often challenged into becoming violent, through self importance or by t/“peacekeepers” themselves & is too often viewed as a nuisance by t/complacent drones that dont share t/immediacy or urgency of t/complaint. We’re just not screwed enough, I guess!
