But you have to realise that residents of Jersey might not get treatment that works because they don't have the NHS.

That may indeed be an issue (I don’t know the health arrangements in The Channel Islands), but I do know with certainty that the solution to “not [getting] treatment that works” is NOT getting treatment that doesn’t work.
