I'm stuck in a city where I know no one, rental cars are sold out, hotels are full, and I may not be able to fly home due to the airline workers' strike against govt mandates.
I'm ELATED. I will take an uber, find a Red Roof Inn and crawl home if I have to. Keep the faith.✈️💚

Thanks to (near Nashville airport) btw!! I stumbled in last night during the mayhem. Great beer, really lovely staff, had an excellent white bean hummus, charged my phone and regrouped. Couldn't have been a nicer sanctuary.

I'm assuming you're in Knoxville. Otherwise, you could stay at my house.
And if you're close -- you can stay at my house!

Nashville! Couldn't get as close as Knoxville. I was literally in the air when the walkout happened.
I went to a brewery where I met this fascinating guy who told me about emigrating from Uganda and gave me insider Nashville tips that led me to an iffy highway hotel. Adventure!

I have to fly on Friday to Ohio. Maybe I should make plans to drive instead. 🤔

The line to get into the rental car BUILDING was 35 people long.

Try to get a uhaul if you need a ride back home. Sometimes cheaper and more available than a regular rental. Definitely not luxurious, but does the trick.
