In an Instagram post this morning, Biel insisted that despite opposing SB 276 (which she misidentified as SB 277) "I am not against vaccinations." But the staffer Biel echoed a lot of anti-vax talking points: "She said she wants safe vaccines and mentioned ‘corporations’ a lot.”

(A barrage of studies over the last many decades have proven that vaccines are safe and effective. It's become common for vaccine skeptics to insist they only want "safe" vaccines as a way to imply that vaccines are currently unsafe.) Previously it was "green" vaccines.

It's also, of course, interesting that Biel apparently talked about going against the medical advice of a doctor, considering the party line from vaccine "skeptics" on this bill is that they want the decision to remain between them and their doctors and not The State.

My final update on this is that three hours later she has finally fixed her Instagram post so that it references the correct number of the bill she passionately opposes

I'm glad she opposed the doctors advice.

I love this, but the problem is that almost every unvaccinated will not die from a disease like that. Making a point that is easily disproved actually has the fact of reinforcing the incorrect viewpoint to that person. Of course, the joke ...pic.twitter.com/lDZB0rrqoR
