@TeamYouTube Yesterday and today I’ve noticed a thumbnail error on some of my uploads there are black bars on the left and right sides. Only on two but sometimes more depending the device used. I size them as 1280x720. Have never had this problem. Can you fix this? Looks awful.

Hmm, that's odd. Can you confirm if the thumbnails are sized in 16:9 aspect ratio as it's the most used in YouTube players and previews? Let us know if this helps.

This is still happening in two or three of my thumbnails. Strangely once a new video is uploaded the error goes on one of the thumbnails. I’ve made them the right size since I started and never had this problem before can you fix this.

Hmm, have you tried uploading the thumbnails using a different device? Also, do you see this across devices? Let us know.

I only see this if a share a link to the videos, if I check a link etc. Seen it on other channels too, it’s only the first 3 videos. I haven’t changed how I upload it (via computer). On the app it looks fine.

Thanks for updating us on this. Just to confirm, have you tried clearing the browser's cache & cookies to see if that helps? Also, check if using a different browser or Incognito mode does make a difference. Appreciate the additional info.

If I click a link to my channel the thumbnails appear as the right size. If I click on Videos and it shows them all then the first three have black bars on the left and right hand sides. If I check via the app they are fine. If I text the link the black bars appear.
