    Great advice for freelancers old and new in this thread. My pro tip to add: get a dog

    It's been a year since I've gone freelance (again!) and though I haven't updated this article in, er, 4 years I've got a few more points to throw in the mix. Hold tight, I'm going to attempt to do 'a thread'.
