Ikea does the trick for me.

My IKEA ones definitely fluff off unfortunately... Since all of my towels are black, even the smallest bits are super noticeable :/

If you still have the towels, run them through several (like six) wash & dry cycles with hot water & hot dryer. At some point they'll run out of loose fluff from manufacturing. They won't be as black as when you bought them, but you'll have soft, fluffy useable towels.

Yeah my latest ones I've for over a year already...
I thought they would fluff out eventually too (always run them through a dryer too) and yet. Still fluff.

I had to put mine through the wash like 8 times before the fluff stopped fluffing all over the place.
-
They've been washed regularly for over a year but are still fluffing!

Soak them in cold water for 2-6 hours then put in the washing machine! Works a charm for decent quality towels to set them.
-
Will this work if they've already been washed a hundred times before, yet are still fluffing? And if so, should I wash them hot or cold after that?
