When I ask Google Home to play a particular song, why does @Spotify always play some awful remix or instrumental version of it, rather than just the normal top rated one that appears if you search for it manually?
It's driving me CRAZY! Defeats the whole purpose of handsfree.

Same here. This - and other nightmary-ish functionalities like geo-based suggesting artists that have absolutely nothing to do with what I listen to - suggests that there might be some $ factor involved (a preferable explanation than, say, bad product design).
Oh damn I don't think I've had geo-based suggestions happen to me yet... But I guess it'll just be a matter of time?

Actually if you had it, it'd be an improvement. The current mechanism uses your registered payment method as a geo-reference. That means you get all the non-sense recommendations from w/ever country your card is from (for expats, it gets *bad* - and you can't turn it off)
