How are companies STILL doing this, after so many companies have been busted and reamed online in this fashion already? Nothing goes unnoticed on the internet — people WILL catch you out eventually. Just pay the damn artists you're trying to make money off of, it's that simple!
Because there no actual punishment for doing it. What do they get? A slap on the wrist? A tiny fine?
A lawsuit forcing them to pay up damages and so forth. But you're right. For every case a company like this loses, they probably have another artists work that fly under the radar.
