ADHD peeps... How do you convince your brain that it's time for you to stop whatever you're doing and go to bed on time — especially when you're busy doing Something Interesting™?

Couple of cheek slaps, and focusing on the easiest part of the problem. Try to get the ball rolling and throw your phone into the next room

Throwing my phone into the next room is actually not a bad idea. I've tried by setting reminders to "Just go brush your teeth, then you can get back to whatever you're doing" in an attempt to at least break hyperfocus, with the hope that that would help... but I just ignore it

Try a sticky note. Write down a list of things that need to be done and take it one at a time. Make every check on the box an accomplishment

lol no more sticky notes or lists... I'm trying to REDUCE those, as they've started just becoming white noise for me now

Put a milkshake in a glass case beyond your computer- or equally delicious equivalent. Desire it, want it, and do the work to get it.

I've tried a similar reward trick where I tell myself I'll get to treat myself to video games or a movie or whatever after I finish Difficult Task X. More often than not it ends up with me simply not doing either thing, but drowning in guilt instead
(My brain is an asshole.)
