ADHD meds update: Trying totally different meds; Intuniv/Tenex(Guanfacine) which is a non-stimulant med that inhibits the production of the stress hormome norepinephrine. Usually ADHD specialists prescribe it, most drs just default to stimulants...

... Intuniv is usually taken in conjunction with Vyvanse/Elvanse or SSRis because of its blood pressure/aggression/anxiety lowering benefits. I might find guanfacine is all I need or combine it with low dose lisdexamfetamine(elvanse/vyvanse) depending on how the next few weeks go

I'm on Elvanse now, as both Concerta and Ritalin made my pulse SPIKE for ages whenever I'd even vaguely think of something stressful. I'm on a v low dose to begin with, which isn't doing much for me tbh, but it's nice to not have regular panic attacks. Curious about Intuniv tho?

Im on the lowest dose possible for Intuniv right now and my blood pressure has dropped considerably which is exactly what I hoped for So on Nothing I was ~ 140/82 30mg Elvanse I was ~ 145/85 40mg I was ~157/93 Intuniv 1mg ~134/75 (still first week)
