Hey tech-twitter... My ol' dad desperately wants to use the old version of Canvas 3.5 on his MacBook, as none of the new programmes make sense to him. Browsing through Mac Garden but getting confused by all the info about emulations and time bomb fixes and stuff. Halp?

Tack! Dock inte riktigt det jag letade efter. Han har nämligen inte Canvas på sin nya MacBook alls, utan jag sitter och kollar genom https://macintoshgarden.org/apps/canvas-354 och försöker förstå hur jag ska installera den, efts jag inte förstår mig på emulations öht :/

You're talking about an OS 9 app (i.e. pre-OS X), right? And presumably it's a modern (OS X) MacBook, so you'll need to run something like SheepShaver (OS 9 Mac emulator). Pre-Catalina it was relatively straightforward... happy to help if you need advice, pls just DM

Sounds about right! The question is, will it be simple enough to run for my 78 year old dad? He's a whiz at however macs worked 10-20 years ago, but loading emulators and launching from there might be hard to teach
