Same. I'm faced with needing to do a variety of things which are not actually difficult &wld benefit me but for whatever reason it comes down to I what I describe as "I wld rather punch myself really hard in the face than muster the energy to do them." It's so hard to explain why
Yep, what you're both talking about is called executive dysfunction. It's a thing. And it's one of the diagnostic criteria for ADHD. Break the overwhelming task down & start by just googling up the Dr's phone number. I know it all feels stressful, but trust me, it is WORTH IT.

Yeah. I managed to get the industrial-strength ADHD package chock-full of lots of the dysfunctions. Luckily in a few weeks I should have access to some competent healthcare again & hopefully then I can try & get some of my life back on track. Thank you so much for the support!

Glad to hear it! Meds only help with some of the things though, so getting help from a psych is also important!
