yeah - and I/we should still get access to help with classes, resources, tweaks to meds, etc. that can help us NOT NEED TO COPE AS MUCH cuz dang does it take a lot of energy, patience, practice, time, oh and more energy.
And instead we go around wondering why we're so exhausted all the time. "People with ADHD are three to six times more likely to suffer from burnout or stress-related health problems." 3-6 TIMES?! Holy crap! Why are we not diagnosing & supporting BEFORE they inevitably burn out?
AMEN. thats what lead me to try to get my first diagnosis - was stuck at sös-akuten overnight due to panic attacks (without a bed or phone) only to eventually have them say "well looks like yer stressed lol gl go calm down"
so i figured a diagnosis would... help them figure out what was part of the cause of the panic attacks and why i would crash and burn so MUCH when i did - and to find ways to help avoid it in future. but nop. they say "well you seem fine now soooooo"
