Not to excuse anyone of the responsibility, but... It is possible that millions of people live in a completely different universe where they "know" something entirely opposite of reality
Yeah it's so wild. So, so wild. How can such a large portion of the population of a first world country, with full access to information and education, be so brainwashed that they actively CHOOSE to ignore reality and regular fact-checks? Absolutely blows my mind.

"Full access" to news might be the problem. Technically you can find anything you want online, but in practice I think these people are being blasted with propaganda 24/7, and don't feel like they're in any lack of news or knowledge. Full access to education in the US though?
