How many times are we going to have to have the same complaints about @GoogleDesign's icons before they start taking accessibility and clarity into consideration? I'm constantly finding myself hesitating an extra few seconds every time I need to open an app. Or if I'm going quickly (which is 99% of the time) I'll often click the wrong icon instead. Open app, load app, realise it's the wrong one, close app, find right one... Every day. UGH!
This is the one case I think horrible programmer art would be an improvement because at least we say what the buttons are/do. :v
I still can't believe it. I'm spending so much time searching for the tabs now that they aren't so easily identifiable by a quick glance. It's such a bad move.
I've been getting so confused trying to find my gmail tabs and I keep opening the wrong apps on my phone
I didn't realize how true this was until I saw this picture.
Also even though I understand the 'M' is for mail, I see it in my tabs and I forget what it is because for Google mail I expect a 'G'? It looks like a company logo
The Gmail envelope icon was brilliant and a classic! Why change something that ain't broke?
It's an abomination.
Finding Google Mail on my phone has now become me scrolling to where it should be and not seeing it, and getting confused.
You notice how they haven't rebranded the YouTube icons to this rubbish?
