Here’s my question: how does the process work? I’ve undergone a few tests and done an interview and was told that a psych would just put me on meds and have done, but that they want to do further cognitive testing. Is that how it works?

Referral from GP to psychiatrist! (NB: not psychologist) After interviews with Drs & psychs where they ensured symptoms were prevalent as a child too (they spoke to my mum as well) I got diagnosed. Now medicated plus cognitive behavioural therapy to learn life coping mechanisms!
