Object permanence and ADHD brains is totally a thing. We forget to check in with friends/family constantly. It doesn't mean we love them any less, but if something isn't literally right in front of us, we just... forget. Brain is simply focused on what IS right in front of us.

Yeah. It's bad. And then I guilt myself because of it, and the shame is what drives me to go through my inbox and actually respond to all the old messages I've forgotten about.pic.twitter.com/PEkUWQ3qef

The great thing about other ADHD people though is that we don't even notice that other people haven't responded to us, and then when they do respond 6 weeks later we're genuinely unbothered by it

Looks like it's recommending that I get evaluated. Your ADHD quiz score is: 16 out of 18 Your score suggests INATTENTION is a problem for you. Huh. Ok then,I'm looking into this. Thank you Anna

Yeah have a read up about the 3 different types! I have the third, which is the Combined type. The Inattentive one is the one that often goes undiagnosed, as the Hyperactive ones are usually disruptive as kids, and thus get most of the attention (and diagnoses).

Thank you!
@spamoir gave me an online test once and I was 50/50, but I got distracted on some of the questions and submitted half considered answers because I was in the office and there was good conversation
Think I'll look into it again haha1 odpowiedź 0 podanych dalej 3 polubione
