Object permanence and ADHD brains is totally a thing. We forget to check in with friends/family constantly. It doesn't mean we love them any less, but if something isn't literally right in front of us, we just... forget. Brain is simply focused on what IS right in front of us.

When I was 18 and I still lived with my parents, I went to a goth club one night, ended up meeting someone, and stayed at her place for a while. Didn't get a call from my folks until *three months* had passed, and they chatted like no time had passed! Pretty we all have it.

Uhhh wait... no... that one's different. You technically went missing for THREE MONTHS and your parents didn't even notice you didn't come home?!

Knowing my parents, they probably thought 'Oh, we should probably call Nick and figure out where he is' once a week, but didn't get around to it for 3 months.

Omg
Well I'm glad you're okay and I hope your parents are okay too!
