How is this not against the terms of service.
Am seriously hoping @Twitch update their TOS to prevent this happening any more, because honestly it's disgusting. Corporations exploiting streamers for their own commercial gain goes against the entire concept of Twitch; YOUR own little space on the internet is no longer yours.
I mean it's just bot spamming, but with the "added" benefit of throwing in a small amount cash in there. This is super effective advertising (and disgusting). You make sure you get X amount of eyeballs on an ad for absolutely nothing.
In a vaccum it's a great idea. Get maximum exposure for minimum investment, but failing to comprehend the medium and the effort it takes for a streamer to get those viewers. I used to work in advertising so I got a decent idea on how this process played out.;(
