It’s also so funny to me that ppl who say this, when questioned about it, usually cannot even name the type of music they like or have any music knowledge whatsoever. They usually say “I like a little bit of everything.” Ok so u DONT actually like music then, got it

Okay, so you enjoy having pleasant sounds in the background. That's not the same as having music as an actual hobby.
The only correct answer to “what music do you like?” is something like “recently I’ve really been getting into early era disco extended cuts of classics like Stayin’ Alive, which, btw did u know the BeeGees used to be a prog rock band before they started singing flasetto?”
