And honestly, is the difference between a 160-bed and a 180-bed reeeaaally that noticeable? (Wondering if it's worth saving 20cm of floor space?)

If you aren't considering smaller than a 160, you might as well go for a 180 (unless there's a significant price factor, in which case take the cheaper one and donate the difference to a good cause)
That is actually a very lovely idea. The price difference wasn't massive, and I did end up going with the 180, but I may make another donation to BLM with what would have been the price difference anyway. Thank you for suggestion.
