Yes, BUT the variance between soft foam and hard foam is pretty dramatic, so if you're gonna get one... well, I was going to recommend trying it out first, but given Coronavirus it's not quite as easy to just go to the mattress store and lie down on one. Hmm...

I don’t know nothing about mattresses, but when we bought ours the store had a scanner you laid down on and it told the salesperson where your pressure was and such. Made shopping easier.

Hell yes! And the cheap ones on Amazon are great. I had a $500 queen that I absolutely loved, and we just got a $400 king that's good enough (high praise from me,) but I still miss the other one. 5 years on the queen, and no sagging or indents at all.

Recently convinced my partner to get a memory foam “mattress topper” as they’re a bit cheaper and I have one. It’s about 3” thick and literally feels like a whole new mattress. Another option if you wanna test it out without the full commitment!

We had a memory foam mattress topper for all of a month before I ripped it off the bed. It started fine but after a week I was waking up Every. Single. Night. from insane stabbing back pain that just got worse the longer we had it. As soon as it was gone I was fine -
I think weight has something to do with it too though. My bf slept like a dream while I was waking up crying because I felt like I had knives in my back
