I think this might be one of the main things that keeps me going, and prevents me from being totally and utterly overwhelmed at the magnitude of it all. Being able to forget keeps you functioning.

I thought I was defective because of this very thing. I was made to feel ashamed because that's how I processed childhood trauma.

Totally. It's that grey line between "Is this PTSD suppressing my trauma or is it just ADHD?" Ps. You are in no way defective. Your brain is perfect.

I think back to do many things that my family said to me that really make me think I've had ADHD and complex PTSD my whole life. I like my brain. It's kind of cool.

PS I miss you1 odpowiedź 0 podanych dalej 1 polubiony
ADHD is genetic and nothing one grows into or out of; people with ADHD were born with it. Having complex PTSD from a super young age sounds awful though. I'm sorry to hear it - I hope you're getting the support you need
(For both things!) And I miss you too, sending hugs x
