A fun thing to do is explain you have ADHD to someone only don’t use the name just say “a neurological condition that... [symptom]” and watch how seriously they take it until you tell them it’s ADHD.

I remember thinking that ADHD/ADD was a ‘made up disorder’. Then I met people with ADHD and dated someone with it - totally changed my mind. I wish others were like me. Willing to listen, learn and change stigmatization around illnesses or disorders.

I thought it was bullshit until I was diagnosed with it. Apparently the way I am isn’t “normal.” Seriously someone tried to explain it to me when I was in HS, and I was like “yeah that’s just how all brains work.”
