I met my partner through OkCupid. I think their mobile app has devolved into a Tinder clone but if you stick to web, it does a good job of filtering people based on the personality tests. Just message those with 85%+ match ratings. It takes more up front effort but is worth it.

+1 to this recommendation: it's where I met my partner two years ago - the app is indeed basically a tinder clone but the website is (or at least was) full of people who actually wrote stuff in their profiles. Match % was always a pretty good filter for me!
