Yeah Hinge was def a thing in Melbourne, not as big in Sweden but I think it'll grow. It's the endless swiping & empty profiles I'm bored of tho. I want to filter out conservative or "apolitical" ppl who want to have babies, and who think liking food/movies counts as a hobby

Tell me about it. I completely gave up on the apps last year as it was fucking up my self esteem. I installed hinge again due to the isolation and its been okay-ish. Filter wise: I need an app that let's me filter out cat owners (horribly allergic)

Oh nooo! Both in terms of the send self esteem as well as the cat allergies! But yeah the non-committal thing is infuriating, hence why I'm veering away from Tinder & co. Hope things improve post isolation

Same for you. I feel you, I would love something real but I just haven't met anyone that I click with (or I clicked with them and they owned a cat). Tinder was really awful in terms of actual dating. People are assholes, mostly guys but it's definitely not exclusive.

Totally agreed. My problem is that apparently I intimidate people irl, so I basically go around thinking nobody likes me So I'm relegated to apps because it's the only way I can confirm people are actually interested lol... That and I'm absurdly picky.

I can relate to all that 100%... I really don't like the word intimidating, I hear it too often (oh and scary too) I guess it's my terminal case of resting bitch face. What's your excuse? Picky is good!
