I agree that soft skills are more important, by the way; but they're difficult to highlight in a CV to even *get* the interview in the first place, and also not terribly easy to highlight in the artifice of an interview setting.

I'd argue this point! Definitely list your soft skills on your CV - I did, and I know many others who do too :)
In an interview this can be demonstrated by showing how you've actively tried to get feedback & how you've grown. Also by, y'know, talking.

Your CV is a very good example of how to do this, thank you. I also agree that a large part of selling yourself in an interview is not reiterating your tech skills (those are available at a glance), but showcasing your soft skills.

I think my response was more with regards to the overall theme of hiring jerks. In your CV you write "Empathy" which is a good signal for "I am not a jerk" which I guess is also a good counterargument so I'll shut up. :)
