Changing companies is like changing schools. Those you thought were your friends stop talking to you and you realize you were the one always reaching out. To them, the effort required to maintain the relationship is greater than the value gained. I wasn’t ready for that reality.
It doesn't always necessarily mean they don't care 
As someone w ADHD, I don't message people that aren't a part of my day-to-day. It's not that I care less about them, it's just that my brain doesn't think of things that aren't in front of me.
