If companies' leadership was elected, like political leaders are, how would that affect society? How would it affect companies on a both large and small scale? And how would that affect the leadership style that people would try emulate?

I think if they were elected by workers you would see companies become more stable, and wealth would be less concentrated at the top and more evenly distributed to the lower and working class.
Yeah I think so too. I also think people who want to be leaders would strive to be more compassionate as they know they depend on the trust of their team to stay a leader.

It seems like a system that would be very vulnerable to populism, simple promises to get elected could trump long term viability of the workplace, etc. Not necessarily worse than the “dictatorship” system we have today ;) but it would come with its own problems

France have relatively large companies that are cooperatives , not sure how they work internally but it would be fun to read up on :)
