Really though lol! I couldn't agree with your tweet more. I was really lucky in that my mom raised me to feel free to like whatever while growing up, no barriers because I was a boy at all. She never made me feel judged or less than. I wish my friends had that same environment
That's super awesome! And yeah totally agreed with you. The only thing we can do is normalise this among our peers and friends too so that more boys today can grow up with these ideas! We all learn these harmful beliefs growing up, and we can all help each other *unlearn* them.
Definitely. Just like with hate, I think, it's learned behavior. I don't think ppl are necessarily born with that hatred in their hearts. It's usually passed on to them or learned from somewhere. Just like I learned very early on not to judge ppl based on appearances.
