RSD (Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria), is the most intense side of emotional dysregulation in ADHD. But the opposite side of the spectrum is less known: sometimes, when feelings get too much, some ADHDers get overwhelmed and shut off unwillingly, leading to emotional disengaging.

This explains a lot! Husband: ‘how do you feel about *blank* now?’ Me... ‘I felt all the things, but now I feel no things. None of the things.’ Him ‘... how? Surely you..’ Me: ‘NO THINGS’

Yup, classic ADHD. Them: You cared so much about <thing> yesterday? Me: Sure did. Them: But you don't care about it today? Me: Nope. I def had those feelings. At the time I did lots of feeling the feelings. So now I no longer need to feel those feelings. New day, new feelings.

It's true though...
We don't half-ass anything. When we feel, we FEEL. And when we don't, we just... don't.
