Yeah same. It's totally mind-blowing. His lawyer even admitted Cardinal Pell's crimes in court - and somehow (somehow?!) the high court suddenly quashed it, months later. Unanimously. ‘We believe the jury should have had reasonable doubt - quashed’ - are you shitting me? I was under the impression that appeals courts were to resolve procedural errors, or sentencing issues - not to invalidate a jury verdict without new evidence. What a travesty.
