One of the things I've noticed when I've been in Japan recently - Fabric masks are everywhere though the shortage for normal surgical masks is real. One of the great things they do in mcDonalds are have hand sanitisor by the bins... I wish the UK would adopt this!
Yeah definitely. And the use of normal fabric masks to keep your own germs away from the general public is a great thing that I wish the rest of the world did too!
Definitely - one of the things that have shocked me the most is the amount of European/American tourists sneezing and coughing without masks in Central Tokyo and even looking at other tourists strangely for even having masks on. They don't take it seriously at all.
I have a sad panda face mask I wear if I'm ill. I think it's a great custom we should adopt. I don't really go out with it, but I don't really go out at all when ill. I have used it while travelling though. Getting ill and knowing you have to get on a plane. Least I can do.
I think that's a good mindset to have. I always travel with hand sanitisor and anti bacterial wipes. In my last job they used to judge people for being off ill quite heavily - so unfortunately I'd end up at work ill but cleaning my hands every time I used to cough or sneeze.
