The belief that people have to prove worthy of help has done incredible amounts of damage to society and killed a hell of a lot of people. Every country needs to do what Finland has. A place to live should be a human right.

It's a good start yes and the effort is showing, but it's only showing in the capital city (Helsinki), sadly I don't live there but live in the second biggest city called Tampere. We don't have this stuff here yet that's mentioned in the article.

I have been thinking a lot about how difficult it should be to come back to a normal life once you are homeless, lately. I hope more countries will do the same.

Tangential, someone told me about a video of stories from inmates who return to society and what shocks them most, and it's easy to see why there are so many repeat offenders when they aren't given any kind of education about the changing world.

I completely agree! And most people with a heart will completely agree! But I believe that line about the monetary sense of doing it is likely there to convince people who wouldn't do it out of basic human decency. You know the kinds of people...
