I've thought a LOT about the sentance "ADHD presents itself differently in girls and boys" I see it everywhere. But the only reason I never had trouble staying in my seat is because I knew I would be crucified for jumping up like boys do. So I popped up my hand instead to talk.
Exactly. This is why so many young girls go undiagnosed - because we raise them differently. My psych instead asked if I was always the first to put my hand up and always had things to say (I did), and if I was understimulated, did I distract myself with books instead? (I did)
