Time is an EXTREMELY abstract concept for me. Like, I didn't realize that I perceived time differently from neurotypicals - that penny dropped when I was researching ADHD, and it was only then that it dawned on me that other people actually perceive time differently to me! 
The "more time" thing is something I really felt
Time just... vanishes. Like legit. Where does it go. I was literally just getting home and about to make dinner and suddenly it's 3am? WHAT HAPPENED TO MY EVENING? I'VE BEEN CHEATED.

Yeah first time @steggy_ mentioned it to me I was like "nah I don't have that". But then I got home and did some reading, and was like "holy shit I have a lot of all of that!" 
A friend got diagnosed a few years ago, and for fun he sent me the introductory questionnaire his doc had given him. I thought, "oh this will be fun", and then ended up fitting like, 90+% of the behaviours! That led me to talk to my psych, and here I am with a diagnosis myself.
It's super weird getting diagnosed as an adult because it's like, all these things I've been doing for literally decades aren't just "personality quirks" they're because my brain fundamentally works differently. Very strange adjustment, I'm right there with you.
