When I was a very young, very angry leftie, older people would smile gently and tell me that I was just naive, and that I'd become more conservative when I got older. And yet here I am, in my 30s, a grown ass adult - and I have never been angrier or leftier in my entire life.

Being brought up from a young age in a Christan fundamentalist environment, and realising over time how far from reality that worldview is. My views have now have diverged wildly from the indoctrination I received for the first part of my life. More reasons than fit in a tweet!

Is this something common amongst embedded systems developers? I, in teen age, almost joined a terror outfit. Now I wonder what the hell was I thinking at that time. My POV about things changed as I grew up. It's painful to see many youngsters, despite advice, stick to rheotic.
