The Rep representatives keep repeating we're overturning the vote of 63 mill voters, as if that's somehow relevant. The President committed treason and is thus being impeached for it - just as the Constitution says he ought to be. The public's previous votes are irrelevant...

Also, I hate to be the bearer of bad news to those who haven't been following closely, but even though he's now been impeached, he's still very likely to remain in power. I'm afraid that since he'll almost guaranteed remain in power, he'll use the failed impeachment and the Democrats inability to remove him from office as a proclamation of innocence, and use that to fuel his campaign - and then likely win a second term...
