What are the important things to consider when buying a gaming chair? And can anybody recommend any sleek black ones that are super comfy, particularly when sitting straight up for a long time? (ie. not with a slight backwards tilt...)

From all my research... the most common things I've seen is to not get a gaming chair. Everyone says to get something like a Herman Miller or equivalent. I've been trying to decided what to get for like over a year. Still haven't made a decision

I’m really liking my DX Racer for straight back and they have a lot of size/weight combos, BUT I do find the seat a little unforgiving so I added a layer of padding to sit on.

I'd recommend
@secretlabchairs. I got one over the summer and it's great! the seat is more firm for longer sitting sessions, and I found my posture while gaming it better too. Sometimes I do lay back in it though. -
That's the one I was considering, but I keep getting told not to bother with gaming chairs and just stick to ergonomic chairs instead...

I've only heard bad things about gaming/racing style chairs, most of the streamers i follow use ergonomic office chairs. Most commonly used but expensive seem to be Humanscale, Ergohuman and Herman Miller.
