Apparently one v efficient way to get leg/arm space on a plane between two dudes is to simply take a photo of your legs & the armrests.
Immediately one of them became mindful, moved his legs together & made space on the armrest for me.

Just clarifying: I don't expect the armrests all to myself, nor do I expect everyone to move aside for me all the time - all I'm asking is for people (almost aaalways men) to have basic awareness of the space around them! I exist and I also need a bit of space...

The rule is: - Window seat gets 1 armrest and a wall to lean on/window to look out of. - Aisle seat gets one armrest and the aisle to stretch out into. - Middle seat gets both armrests!
