I'm so tired of being the one stepping aside for oncoming men on the street who don't even seem to acknowledge there's a person walking here. New rule: Time to just not. Let's see how many men get surprised and angry when they bump into me, because I didn't step aside for them.

Clarification: This isn't just a "manners" thing. Lately I've become so hyper aware of how it seems to almost always be women stepping aside to make space for men. (And, similarly - yet even more so, I see women of colour regularly stepping aside to make space for white people.)

Ok so apparently "manslamming" is a THING? I was aware that this was something lots of us dealt with, but I didn't realise JUST how prevalent it was! I have a pretty good bitch face when walking, so I tend to just look dead straight ahead and walk. If someone is about to walk into me I stop and glare at them, I don’t move aside.
