I hate being late to things. It stresses me out. But I've had to force myself not to arrive early to social functions before, because i was told arriving early for *those* was considered bad manners.
People who arrive early Stress Me Out 
Anybody who arrives early to any of my parties is dealt with by promptly being put on "make us G&Ts", "keep Anna company while she puts her makeup on", and "keep Anna from getting distracted now that there are people around" duties...
