For those of us who like convenience, sure, but if we consider the impact on the environment, the need for maintenance and upkeep of electronics, the costs for installation, etc, they're definitely not the ideal option in a bigger scale unfortunately!

if the doors are light enough for everyday use yeah, but bigger and heavier doors definitely should have an automatic option for people with disabilities.

This is a very good point. Almost all modern buildings do have a large panel/button on the side that will automatically open the door for people with disabilities, prams, bicycles, etc.
