Im just out here meme'ing, but no, they do not gender lock those tournaments, while sure there may be more males than females that are able to make it to finals & what not, they do not refuse females from competing based on their gender
No they don't "refuse" them obv. But there are a million reasons why there are literally no women at these tournaments, ranging from rampant misogyny to a lifetime of gatekeeping young girls from gaming communities. Doing this is a way of encouraging women to play competitively.

Exactly. Esports has the opportunity to be the all inclusive, gender irrelevant contest of skill, with men and women competing alongside each other. But until we make it a safe space for non cis men, it'll never reach that point.
