If you're 18 and somebody 10+ years older wants to date you - that's not a compliment, that's CREEPY AF. There are so many red flags that you prob won't see until you're older & look back. Don't be flattered that someone older wants to date you - be creeped out. Don't walk, RUN!

Idk I was a young person with many older friends and often dated older people. Who treated me with respect and I enjoyed their maturity. Generalizations are really tricky to stick to everyone, I guess.
I'm happy your experiences were positive & that you're able to look back fondly on them all. My experiences with older men who showed an interest in me when I was that young varied, with most being super creepy for me now, looking back. Sadly that seems to be far far more common.

Experience counts for a lot, and I’m sorry yours was negative. Not all of mine were sugarsweet and I have plenty of horror stories - but I dislike the generalization based on age. Not that my opinion matters but I felt the need to say something
