Every time a woman speaks out about her experience with sexual assault, hundreds of guys leap up to vehemently defend some guy they don't know and have never even met. How quickly would we bring about change if these dudes defended victims as passionately as they defend abusers?
People speaking up about their abuse have everything to lose and they know that they're opening themselves up to doubt, vitriol and potentially more abuse. Nobody does that 'for fun'. There's your nuance and detail. #BelieveSurvivors
