Every time a woman speaks out about her experience with sexual assault, hundreds of guys leap up to vehemently defend some guy they don't know and have never even met. How quickly would we bring about change if these dudes defended victims as passionately as they defend abusers?

It's like talking to a wall!

In my experience, the people who do that are usually afraid that they will be accused of sexual assault.. which speaks volumes about their interactions with women and their relationship with consent. No person who is non-creepy worries about that. Be wary of anyone who does.

But then they'd all be forced to look themselves in the mirror and realise that their behaviour contributes to the problem and changing said behaviour is just /too hard/ and it's easier to just not do anything.
